Frequently Asked Questions

What is GD&T and why is it important?
GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing) is a system of defining allowable limits of deviation. It ensures parts fit and function correctly in mass production.
Do I need to know manual drafting to learn Mechanical AutoCAD?
While knowing how to use a scale and pencil is helpful, it is not mandatory. We teach engineering standards directly within the software environment.
What is the difference between 2D and 3D in Mechanical?
Mechanical 2D is used for creating standard drawings (plan, elevation, section). 3D is used for creating solid models, checking interference, and preparing for manufacturing. We teach both.
What software file formats are used in this course?
We cover saving in DWG, PDF, and exporting to standard 3D formats like STEP, IGES, and SLDPRT for use in CAM software.
Is this course suitable for freshers?
Yes. We start from absolute basics of lines and circles and move to complex assemblies. No prior engineering degree is strictly required.
